1. Map Tools
The map tools section contains all the tools you need to navigate
around the map, along with a few special functions. The functions of these
tools are explained below.
2. Map Area
This is the area where the map image is displayed.
3. Layer List
The layers tool will display all available map layers on the
system. Using this tool, you can "toggle" layers on and off, and set
which layers are active for the identify tool.
4. Text Area
The text area is where the search results, identify results,
query tools, etc. appear.

Legend/Layer List

Allows you to toggle between the Legend and the Layer List.
Overview Map

Allows you to toggle the Overview Map on or off.
Zoom In/Out

The Zoom and Pan tools allow you to change the map
extent.
Click the Zoom to Full Extent button to see the full extent
of the map.
Click a layer in the Layer List to make it active, the click
the Zoom to Active Layer button to see the extent of the active layer.
Last Extent

Click the Previous Extent button to return to your last view.
Pan

Click the Pan button and then click and drag on the map to
pan to a new area.

The directional Pan buttons allow you to pan the map in the
specified direction.
Identify

Click a layer in the Layer List to make it active, then click
the Identify button.
Then click on a feature on the map, the results will be
displayed in the Text Area.
Query

Click a layer in the Layer List to make it active, the click
the Query button.
The Query Builder will be displayed in the Text Area.

Click a field to query, the select and operator.
You can then select samples or type a value for the
expression.
Click Execute, the results will be displayed in the Text
Area.
Find

Select a layer from the Layer List that you want to search
from, then enter any text into the search box and click Find
String.
Buffer

Select a map feature and click the Buffer button.
Select the distance to be buffered, then click Create Buffer.
Selection

Select a Layer from the Layer List, then click a selection
button.
You can then select a feature by drawing a rectangle around
the area or clicking on the feature
